Shards of Odin – Conduct Guidelines The Shards of Odin Linkshell is a friendly and open Linkshell, to this end it has been decided to have some basic guidelines for members. I don’t think we should have a set or complex rules, this is a game and we are playing the game to have fun ^.^ Members Rules Below are a couple of simple and short rules that should be common sense to most members. We are not going to dictate how you should play or act in FFXI that’s totally up to you. The LS leaders simply request that you are respectful towards other LS members. 1) Respect other members: If you cannot do this leave the LS now. All people found to be disrespectful towards other members will be removed. 2) Members are expected to adhere to the Terms set out by SE, no botting, cheating or Gil selling will be tolerated. 3) Have Fun: it’s a game!! Enjoy yourself. That’s it, for actual rules, like I said this is not a job, the only reason we even have any rules is because our group has grown so much recently. Some General Guidelines Here are a couple of guidelines, for newer members that maybe have not used MMORPG’s before or perhaps participated in groups such as this Linkshell. - Please limit spam in the LS - Avoid using your PT macros to in the LS - Begging for GIL will not be tolerated - Please don’t use our LS to recruit members for other LS’s - Do not hassle High Lvl players for help, ask once then organise a suitable time if the member can assist - The Linkshell is not to be used as a contact list for you to solicit services or money from members - Limit the amount of /shouts if you have your LS equipped, just use some common sense. Pearlsack Holder Guidelines Pearlsack holders, contrary to popular belief are NOT required to perform any duties. If however, you do not have an XP PT and have some spare time you could assist in the following: - If possible assist in the delivery or distribution of new pearls - When required, boot members who are causing problems in the LS - If time persists, give advice to new members or in rare occasion’s assistance. Assistance should be organised in advance - If you want to, organise an event - Grow the LS ;) Linkshell Membership Policy We currently run two Linkshells, one general Linkshell in which we welcome all members of any lvl (1 – 75) and one selective Linkshell, where members must meet certain criteria to gain entrance. Shards of Odin Name: ShardsOfOdin Colour: Blue Type: Open Linkshell Entrance Requirements: - No level or Rank requirement - Newer players are welcome! NOTES: We are currently limiting the number of new members, if you wish to join The Shards of Odin please contact a Pearlsack holder for more details. Shards of Odin Knights Name: ShardsOfOdinKnights Colour: White Type: Selective Linkshell Entrance Requirements: - Minimum of one Job level 55+ & Obtained Rank 5 - Be an established member of the ShardsOfOdin Linkshell - Have an active account on www.shardsofodin.com - If not voted, at least be nominated for access to the Linkshell - Priority will be given to members that have “given” back to the LS NOTES: This Linkshell has an initial maximum of 30 members, starting with the oldest ShardsOfOdin members first.
